Sustainability policy
Adopted: 2023-11-03 | Last updated: 2025-09-26
Nordic Preparation AB was founded by military professionals with many years of experience in survival, safety, and field operations. Our business is built on creating security, preparing people, and delivering equipment that works when it truly matters.
We believe in a strong society that is prepared – not only for crises, but also for the future. Therefore, sustainability is an integral part of everything we do, from product development and supplier selection to delivery and customer experience.
This policy covers the entire organization, including the supply chain, personnel, and daily operations. Our goal is to ensure that Nordic Preparation AB conducts its business in a responsible, transparent, and long-term sustainable manner, in accordance with Swedish law, EU directives, and applicable environmental requirements.
"When and where it is needed"
Vision
Our vision is to create a safer and more sustainable future – where preparedness, outdoor activities, environmental responsibility, and accountability go hand in hand.
Quality, when and where it is needed – for a sustainable future.
Environmental Responsibility
Nordic Preparation AB actively takes responsibility to minimize our environmental impact through concrete, measurable, and continuously improved actions. We work to:
- Comply with applicable environmental legislation, EU directives, and CE marking requirements
- Prioritize products with long lifespan and sustainable materials
- Reuse packaging and minimize disposable items
- Optimize transportation through coordination, consolidated deliveries, and environmentally friendly shipping methods
- Ensure proper waste management and recycling at all stages
- Reduce unnecessary returns through clear product descriptions, guidance, and customer education
Environmental responsibility is a central part of our business model.
Social Responsibility
We stand for respect, safety, and accountability – both within the organization and toward society. We:
- Ensure fair and safe working conditions throughout the supply chain
- Promote inclusion, equality, and a safe work environment
- Collaborate with community actors and municipalities to strengthen crisis preparedness
- Support initiatives that promote civil defense, rescue services, and volunteer organizations
- Encourage employees to participate in socially beneficial projects and sustainability training
Product Responsibility and Quality
Our products are designed to function when it really matters – in crisis, everyday life, and field operations. We:
- Conduct field tests and trials in Nordic conditions before launch
- Ensure that products meet relevant safety requirements and standards
- Continuously evaluate product cycles and material choices from a sustainability and lifecycle perspective
- Prioritize repairability and modular solutions over disposable designs
- Set clear sustainability requirements for suppliers and monitor compliance regularly
High quality is the foundation for sustainability – for both the customer and the environment.
Economic Sustainability
Strong preparedness requires economic stability. We:
- Invest in Swedish and European manufacturing whenever possible
- Strive for balance between growth, resource use, and environmental impact
- Ensure transparency in financial decisions and purchasing
- Prioritize quality and operational reliability over short-term profits
Employee Sustainability
Our employees are a central part of our sustainability work. We:
- Comply with Swedish labor law and collective agreement conditions
- Promote health, safety, and work-life balance
- Encourage skills development, training, and participation in sustainability initiatives
- Foster a culture of honesty, loyalty, and open communication
Continuous Improvement
Sustainability is a journey, not a destination.
We continuously monitor, measure, and improve our efforts. By listening to customers, suppliers, and employees, we develop methods and products to stay one step ahead.
We report our progress regularly and revise this policy as needed, at least every two years.
